About Us

We opened the premises on North Street on 19th August 2004. Prior to that we were dealing as Gaslightbooks on the Internet for about 5 years, having our own website and selling through Abebooks as well as standing Book Fairs throughout the country, including The Royal National during London Book Week.

We have been in and around the antiques, collectables, books and ephemera trade for over 25 years.

Horncastle is a small market town and now has three second-hand bookshops as well as second-hand books for sale within the various Antique Centres and Antique Shops in the town. For more details of the history of this Roman town and other places of interest please visit Horncastle Discovered

Our shop is situated on the corner of North Street and Conging Street. Within the property there are three different areas providing an eclectic mix to suit most tastes. Stock changed regularly. Pay us a visit and have a browse.
